2013 PADC Festival of Ideas cancelled
They’re nasty things – the economy, the national election and football finals. Especially if they don’t work together to go the way you hoped. We can’t be sure, but we think all three have conspired to diminish member interest in the PADC Festival of Ideas. Or maybe, someone nobbled my crystal charm.
Otherwise, we’d have to blame apathy, indifference and/or lack of member interest. And that cannot be true, ne c’est pas? This is despite the array of remarkable international luminaries whom the PADC had booked for it.
Sadly, the number of bookings is insufficient to enable the event to proceed as planned. Consequently and with great reluctance, the PADC has cancelled the 2013 Festival of Ideas.
All monies paid on tickets will be fully refunded.

Back in the day, you used to book yourself in for the Festival not necessarily because you needed to learn something, but because you knew it would help others who did.
Back in the day, you used to book yourself in for the Festival because you had the chance to hear from people a little more exotic than the CDs at Marketforce.
