2013 PADC Awards: Meerkats wins Best of Show with Brownes ‘Use by Date’; SHED scores West Australian Fellowship award for Attix and Marketforce nets 3 Golds for City of Perth

Brownes1.jpgATTIX_DPS_Storage.jpgThis year’s PADC Awards has proven to be a great night for Meerkats, SHED and Marketforce who shared most of the top honours.

The awards, presented tonight at Frasers in Kings Park, saw Meerkats take out the Best of Show award for Brownes “Use By Date”. The campaign, a winner of the Best Campaign gong at this year’s Campaign Brief Awards, also won one of only 6 Gold awards handed out on the night – in the Integrated Cross Media Campaign category.

The other big award of the night – The West Australian Fellowship Award, carrying a prize of a trip for two to the Cannes Festival of Creativity – was won by SHED for their Attix “Roof Storage” press ad. This was also a Gold winner in the Newspaper/Magazine Non Retail category.

Marketforce also had a big night winning 3 Golds for their City of Perth radio campaign “Burbs”. The campaign picked up a Gold and two individual executions – Flip Tap and Dog – won single Golds. In addition, two other spots in the campaign won Silver awards. The Burbs campaign also won the Dave Upson Medal for Sound.

The final Gold on the night was won by Meerkats in Publications and Magazines for “A Useful Annual Report”.

In total, the night saw 6 Golds, 11 Silver and 16 Bronze awards handed out.
