For the past three years AWARD School Perth has hosted a 3-day graduate exhibition displaying the work of the year’s graduating AWARD School students.

Facilitated by AWARD School Perth in conjunction with News Corp Australia and the Salvation Army’s Crossroads West Network, The Communications Council WA has announced a new initiative to champion aspiring creatives. This year’s AWARD School exhibition will host 3 student co-labs to develop communication ideas for a charity addressing youth disadvantage.

In partnership with the Oasis Committee and Crossroads West, AWARD School Perth will facilitate the opportunity for WA tertiary and secondary school students to work with industry creative leaders on a live brief.

Brendon Lewis, Chairman of Oasis Committee said “For 22 years the Western Australian advertising and communications industry has supported The Salvation Army’s Crossroads West Network. Our committed support makes a tangible difference to the lives of disadvantaged youth who are unable to live at home or those transitioning to independence from living in care, all made possible by the proceeds of the annual Oasis Ball. The co-lab initiative was a natural extension of our support. It’s a great way to show the problem-solving skills of our industry applied to an all too common issue.”

Paul Coghlan Creative Director of J. Walter Thompson, Head of AWARD School Perth said “The most exciting thing about this initiative is literally everyone involved wins. Aspiring students get to learn about the power of big ideas from a group of passionate experienced creative leaders; those creative leaders get to meet the next wave of talented creative thinkers; and all while cracking big game-changing ideas for an extremely important cause. I can’t wait.”
