The 2017 Oasis Ball is all set to amaze and delight at the spectacular Crown Towers Ballroom tomorrow night from 6.30pm. Here’s everything that you need to know.
New Ballroom at Crown Towers
We’re in a new ballroom that is part of the new Crown Towers hotel. You can walk through if you enter via the Crown Metropol but why not take the opportunity to make a grand entrance via the spectacular Towers lobby. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s worth a look.
Tickets – and wrist bands – please
By now everyone should have their tickets and all-important wrist bands. Being in such a public place security will be very tight, so you must be wearing your wrist band to gain access.
Best Dressed
If you’re feeling particularly glamorous, come over to the Campaign Brief + Evoke Media ‘Best Dressed at the Oasis Ball’ set and have your photo taken by Mr Benjamin Riches. There are some great prizes to be won including a two-night stay at Karma Resort Rottnest plus a $500 voucher for Claremont Quarter.
But don’t be shy – it’s on only until we start moving into the Ballroom around 7.15pm so you’ll need to be quick.
Bring some money. Actual money.
Remember, the Oasis Ball is in support of our charity – The Salvation Army’s Crossroads West program – so we need your help. There’s lots happening throughout the event for a gold coin donation, so bring some.
There’s two photo booths thanks to SBS (a gifgif booth) and VMO. Jump in and get a Facebook-worthy photo with your besties.
There’s a monumental Cocktail Bar sponsored by oOh! Media that will be serving two special cocktails: an oOh! (Aperol) Spritz and an Arabian Night (vodka & pomegranate juice – yum!). It will open after Part 1 of the Campaign Brief Awards, and there’s no change, so if you hand over a $50 note The Salvation Army thanks you for your generosity!
There’s a Touch-up Station sponsored by 9Honey. The girls from SC Artistry and Head Studio will keep your hair and makeup looking fabulous throughout the night PLUS flash tattoos are available for those who want to get into the ‘Arabian Nights’ theme.
And finally, if you’re feeling a little bit peckish later on, indulge in the Late Night Food Station sponsored by News Corp’s Delicious magazine. Of course it will be! (Delicious)
Win a trip to anywhere with Qatar Airways in the Raffle
The other reason you need some real, folding money is for the Raffle and there are three great prizes to be won this year.
The major prize is Return Economy Airfares for two people to any destination in the world on Qatar Airways.
Plus, there are two second prizes of $1000 Crown Perth vouchers to spoil yourself, family or friends.
It’s just $20 for 1 ticket or $50 for 3. Tickets will be in bags on your table when you arrive so dive straight in and buy some to be in the running. They will be collected from 9.30 with the winners announced on-stage after 10.00pm.
Something for everyone in the Silent Auction
Make sure you check out all the exciting items on offer in this year’s Silent Auction.
There are holidays, headphones, vouchers, jewellery – it’s one of the best collections we’ve ever had.
Create an instant cellar with the Chairman’s Selection. Thanks to the generosity of the industry’s heavyweights (and one lightweight) there are three selections to bid on, all of which include some top drops.
Plus, there’s a magnificent jeroboam (3 litres) of Bollinger champagne. What a way to celebrate.
Bidding will open online tomorrow and you can keep up with it all via your mobile phone by downloading the Handbid app.
The Campaign Brief Awards
The Campaign Brief Awards will once again be presented, in two parts.
Part 1 will showcase 9 exclusive creative awards for Best of Year across Press, Radio, Television, Out of Home, Online and Integrated Campaign.
Part 2 will showcase our 7 industry awards: Supernova of the Year, Media Organisation of the Year, Helen Filov Media Agency of the Year, Challenger Agency of the Year, Ad Person of the Year, Advertiser of the Year and Agency of the Year.
As always, there will be plenty of surprises and lots to celebrate.
An epic Major Auction
The Major Auction has a huge range of media packages up for grabs, as well as two great travel packages and a platinum diamond ring. Check it out here.
The Major Auction is the most important fundraising part of the night so please bid up.
Party After the Party
The main part of the evening will be all done-and-dusted by around midnight. But then the After Party kicks-off and kicks-on until 2.00am.
Get out
Last drinks will be served at 1.45am and the whole event concludes at 2.00am. But hey – you’re at Crown so there are plenty of places to go if you want to keep going. There’s always a few people who put in a huge effort and see the sun come up on Saturday.
Whenever you leave, please make sure you get home safely. We want you back next year.
Big, big thanks to everyone
The Oasis Ball is a monumental undertaking made possible by the generous support and assistance of so many people and organisations and the Oasis Organising Committee thanks each and every one of them.
So now it’s over to you to come along and play your part. Remember, as well as being a great party, the Oasis Ball supports the Salvation Army’s Crossroads West program for youth at risk.
It’s a great cause run by some unbelievably caring, dedicated people and they really need and appreciate our help. Please dig deep and help make this the most successful Oasis Ball ever.
See you tomorrow night!
