Community Newspaper Group launches new campaign to capture a day in the life of Perth
Community Newspaper Group has launched a new campaign to encourage the people of Perth to grab their smartphones or cameras and show what they truly love about their city.
CNG Editor in Chief, Matt Zis, said the aim of #SnapPerth is to capture a day in the life of the city and see Perth through its readers’ eyes and through a stream of social media images. The campaign will culminate on Wednesday, November 16.
“Over the course of that day, we are inviting people to snap and share a picture that portrays what it means to them to live in our great city of Perth,” said Zis. “By sharing that image on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the #SnapPerth hashtag, your contribution can join a tapestry of photographs that will form an enduring snapshot of life in Perth in 2016 – made for and by the people of Perth.”
Running over the next few weeks in the lead up to #SnapPerth day, Community Newspaper Group wants people to share images along some easy-to-shoot themes, beginning with ‘How does Perth wake up?’
Snap what you see and share with #snapperth.
Other weekly challenge themes include ‘Local characters’ and ‘Show us what you love’.
Follow the campaign on Instagram @snapperth or Facebook to see when new themes are announced.
The campaign will be supported by online coverage at www.snapperth.com.au as well as in-paper and social media coverage across Perth.
Photography experts will share tips and tricks on how and where to capture the perfect photograph, and there will also be a chance to win a photography masterclass with the best in the business at Canon.
