The West’s Marketing & Media editor Dan Hatch joins Lush Digital Media as head of UK operations
The West Australian’s former marketing and media editor, Daniel Hatch (pictured), has joined Lush Digital Media. He becomes the agency’s managing editor and will head up its UK operations.
Hatch has been working with Lush Digital Media on a freelance basis for several years, including roles editing brand newsroom’s for major international clients.
Lush Digital Media chief executive, James Lush, said Hatch’s recruitment came at a time of serious growth for the content marketing specialist agency.
“It’s fantastic to have someone of Dan’s broad media experience and reputation join the Lush team,” he said. “Content marketing is all about telling stories and in Dan we have a communicator who is really passionate about his craft and giving audiences what they want.”
Lush said opening a London office had had been on the cards for a couple of years.
“As our client base has continued to grow, we’ve been keen to look at new markets that could really supercharge the business,” he said. “We’d be crazy not to take advantage of the fact Dan’s based there.”
Hatch said: “It has been such a privilege to write about WA’s marketing industry over the past four years. I’m really excited about this new adventure, which sees me become a part of that industry, draws on my journalistic skills and experience, and allows me to put into practice the lessons I’ve learned as marketing editor.”
Hatch’s appointment follows the announcement of a new head of video production, Luke Stevenson. Lush Digital Media is planning to bring on more top talent in over the next few months as demand for their high level strategic and content production continues to grow.
