Two Finalists for Marketforce at One Show
Marketforce has scored Finalists is the Film and Direct categories at One Show, announced by the One Club in New York.
Marketforce’s Film Finalist is for Vulture Culture (Rottofest) Stock Footage campaign in the Consumer: TV – Budget Under $100k sub category. Its Direct Finalist is for Chicken Treat ‘Chicken Tweet Betty’ in the Consumer: Digital – Social Media & Viral Marketing sub-category. Both campaigns were created by Neil Martin and recently announced Diamond Skull winner Guy Howlett.
Australia has scored 11 finalists in Film, five in Cross-Platform, six in Direct and one in Print & Outdoor.
Leo Burnett Sydney leads the Australian agencies with five finalists. Clemenger BBDO Sydney, Leo Burnett Melbourne and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne have all been shortlisted three times, followed by Marketforce’s two. McCann Melbourne, M&C Saatchi Sydney, GPY&R Brisbane + Melbourne, BMF Sydney, J. Walter Thompson Sydney, Droga5 Sydney and Finch have all got one finalist each.
One Show judges shared some of their observations about the work they saw in their respective disciplines this year.
Malcolm Poynton (Direct), global CCO, Cheil Worldwide/London said : “Emoji keyboards are everywhere.”
Icaro Doria (Cross-Platform), CCO, DDB/New York said: “There’s a lot of attempts to do interesting things with VR.”
Ben Tollett (Film), ECD, adam&eveDDB/London said: The old distinctions between online film and offline are becoming more blurred.”
And Eugene Cheong (Print & Outdoor), CCO, Ogilvy & Mather/Asia Pacific/Singapore said: “Print is now so closely linked with the Internet.”
