Comedian/actor Matt Dyktynski announced as the new member of mix94.5’s Breakfast team
Mix 94.5 has announced comedian Matt Dyktynski will be joining the station’s Breakfast show. From March 29 it will be mix94.5’s Clairsy, Matt and Kymba.
As an actor and standup comedian, Dyktynski has starred in a number of films such as Love and Other Catastrophes, Takeaway and Japanese Story plus TV Series like Shockjock (which Dyktynski says is where he discovered he might like to work in radio one day) and RAW FM.
After spending years in London on the UK comedy circuit, travelling around Britain, Ireland, Poland and Croatia too, Dyktynski has landed himself back home and is looking forward to making his own people laugh.
“I’m so excited to be joining the mix94.5 breakfast team, it’s great to be home in this wonderful city and I hope I can bring people a smile to kick off their day,” said Dyktynski.
mix94.5 Content Director, Erica Hodge said: “The sudden and tragic loss of Shane McFarlane last year hit the mix94.5 team very hard, and it has been important that we take the appropriate amount of time before adding to our radio family again. Matt is a wonderfully warm, smart and really funny Perth bloke who will bring his own brand of humour and personality to our show. I’m really excited to be working with him.”

I just want to say nobody can “replace” Shane; but Matt is the best choice to “fill his spot” with Clairsy and Kymba. LOVE Matt’s sense of humour and his self-deprecation and his anecdotes. He provides “laugh out loud” moments and I just love listening to the breakfast show. Mind you, do have to say that Laurence Mooney was a wonderful guest and I love his “Dark side of the Moon”!
I really feel that Matt’s “band”, Edible Pets should record “Bogan”! Certain to be a No 1 here in WA.
Wow. I disagree with a lot of things, but I disagree with that the most. For a funny guy, this bloke’s trying way too hard. And that Bogan song was written by someone who, obviously, hasn’t been in Perth for quite some time. In saying that, you are right on one thing… No one can replace Shane.
Hey Mat !! I knew you years ago thought I recognised the name, Cannington high Darrell mate I was his girlfriend ! Congrats on your radio gig ?
