JWT Perth creative director Dav Tabeshfar to leave to form his own creative consultancy
JWT Perth’s creative director Dav Tabeshfar is leaving the agency to form his own creative consultancy.
Tabeshfar had planned to leave JWT at the start of the new year but will be leaving at the end of February to focus on his new venture.
He has been with JWT for nearly 3 years, joining in April 2013, soon after the agency set up in Perth. Prior to JWT Perth he had worked at 303 Lowe, as well as freelancing both in Perth and the eastern states.
Tabeshfar partnered with Doni Savvides to lead the office, and look after inaugural client, RAC. Since then the agency has picked a number of new clients including LWP Property Group, Homebuyers Centre, Central Institute of Technology, the WA Police Union and City Farmers.
Savvides has confirmed that J. Walter Thompson have appointed a new Creative Director, and will be making an announcement in the coming weeks.
“We’ve had great success over the last couple of years under Dav’s creative direction, and myself and the team are grateful for the contribution he’s made. We wish Dav all the best in his next venture,” said Savvides.
“It’s been a big three years,” said Tabeshfar. “We’ve made some lovely work, seen our clients grow, brought in some decent bits of business and had a laugh along the way. I am enormously grateful to the J. Walter Thompson family for the experience, and to our bold and brilliant clients for the trust they have put in us.”

Well done Dav I’m sure it will be a great move for you mate!
I’ll miss your flamboyant dress sense…Oh and creative direction
Good luck, Davood. I expect to enjoy an over-moist cake at the opening of your new consultancy. D x
Best of luck, Dav. I’m sure you’ll do well. On a related note, there seems to be a lot of creatives leaving to set up independent consultancies. There must be a lot more business around town than I thought. It’s fantastic and nice to see them giving the big guys a run for their money. Nothing like being your own boss.
Good on you, xDav…success is assured!
