News Corp Australia announces four new commercial initiatives at Come Together 2015
News Corp Australia (WA) launched a series of new commercial initiatives at the company’s Come Together event last week.
Over 100 guests were welcomed to the Art Gallery of WA to hear from Managing Director Michelle d’Almeida, Sales Director Jay Morris and Editor Rod Savage as they introduced the new opportunities.
The team introduced four significant launches for the company:
- News Connect, powered by Quantium – a new advertising product that brings together News Corp Australia and Quantium’s data to offer unprecedented audience targeting capabilities;
- MBX – a private premium exchange that combines the power of News Corp and MCN’s digital assets;
- News Corp Studios – an unrivalled content creation and marketing solution service;
- News Corp Advertising Lab – a team that develops tests and launches new ad formats, while also doing research into trends and user behaviour that will be shared with agencies and advertisers.
Guests were shown an example of the above platforms being used with the new interactive Lexus electro-luminescent heartbeat car developed by M&C’s Saatchi’s’ innovation unit.
d’Almeida also updated the audience on news Corp’s strength: “Put simply, we reach more people, on more devices, more times, with more certainty, than any other media company in Australia.”
“Our newspapers reach 9.1 million Australians per week, every week and News.com.au connects with 1.5 million Australians every day, with almost double the number of page views of our nearest competitor. News Life Media titles engage 5.2 million Australians every month in print and digital. And through our social channels we connect with 8.5 million people, month in, month out. Locally, of those 9.1 million newspaper readers we have more than half a million people reading News Corp newspapers. In the digital environment, PerthNow reaches more than 500,000 West Australians, reaching a combined total of 1.1 million West Australians. Add in our other market leading brands from our network, we are the State’s number 1 publisher, reaching over 1.5 million people each month. Add to that our social network reach, with PerthNow’s Facebook page reaching almost 300,000 people and our leading journalists engaging more followers through their Twitter and Instagram pages.”
