Clemenger BBDO CD Rebecca Carrasco named as Chair of Judges for The Skulls 2015

On the eve of The Skulls 2015 Call for Entries closing, the PADC is proud to announce that Rebecca Carrasco (pictured) has agreed to be Chairman of Judges for The Skulls 2015.

Carrasco is a creative director at Clemenger BBDO Sydney and was a founder and ECD of Colman Rasic Carrasco. She is a former National AWARD School winner and National AWARD School Head. She has begun a PhD on the value of ideas and was 1992 Freshwater High School Captain, Head of Student Council and Sports Captain.

“Rebecca is the perfect Chair for a new era in Skulls judging as we seek to take the work to the judges”, said PADC President Mark Braddock. “She a modern creative who is an amazing blend of writer and art director.”

This year will see Club Manager Danielle Norrish take the entries to Sydney for two and a half days of judging with three specialist juries in Advertising/Integrated, Branding/Design and Digital/Experiential.

“The breadth of entries that the Awards have attracted in recent years has, quite rightly, seen questions raised about the ability of a three person jury to fairly judge all categories over one day in Perth,” said Braddock. “Unfortunately financial constraints make it impossible to fly the number of judges required to Perth, so it was decided that the work shall be taken to the judges. Sydney has been chosen for 2015, but the idea is that, if this proves successful, then The Skulls judging will be done in a different city each year.”

Carrasco has agreed to travel to Perth for a post-judging event to be held at Nova and to return, again, for the Awards Night to be held on October 23rd.

Braddock said she is “just the tip of an incredible depth of judges we have for The Skulls 2015”, with the Branding jury being headed-up by D&AD winner Jason Little of For The People and the Digital jury being led by Banjo Digital Creative Director Roy Husdell. All three chairs will convene to judge the Craft and Special Awards.
