Drew has been promoted into this role after having spent two years as the marketing manager for The Sunday Times and PerthNow. She will be responsible for the leading the marketing team and continuing to strengthen and grow the position of The Sunday Times and PerthNow in WA.

“I’m delighted to have Joanne step up into this leadership role within the business,” said d’Almeida. “In the past two years she has proven herself to be collaborative, creative and proactive. Joanne is a valued member of the team being named Employee of the Year in 2014 and we’re lucky to have someone with her strong work ethic leading the team.”

Drew, who starts in her role on August 24, has 15 years marketing experience and, prior to joining News Corp Australia, held marketing positions in retail, racing and entertainment sectors.

“I have really enjoyed my last two years working as a marketing manager at News Corp and managing retail promotion campaigns and sponsorship partnerships,” said Drew. “I’m excited to have been promoted into the role of senior marketing manager and look forward to leading what is a wonderful team of marketing professionals.”

Drew replaces Charlene D’Monte, who was with the business for over 8 years and is leaving to pursue her career in another industry.

d’Almeida said: “I would like to thank Charlene for all her contributions to our business and wish her every success personally and professionally as she continues her marketing career venturing into a new sector.”
