Tomorrow 303Lowe will hand out 10,000 leaflets prior to the Swans game which asks Swans supporters to stand up at half time, on the sound of the hooter, and turn their back on the pitch, in a show of support for Adam Goodes.
Says Nick Cleaver, CEO, 303Lowe: “We hope all Swans fans will join as one in support. If we are successful the image of the stadium standing with their backs to the pitch will be pushed out through social media as a powerful and evocative demonstration against racism.”

As a middle aged, white male I can’t begin to understand discrimination. The whole of the AFL has decried the actions of the West Coast Eagles supporters with numerous demonstrations of support for Goodes and the elimination of racism from Australian sporting culture, culminating last night in Richmond donning their Indigenous Round uniform
I might be missing the point but turning your backs on the Sydney Swans players that support Goodes and on the little Auskickers sounds more like a case study in waiting than a considered show of support for Goodes and the campaign to eliminate anti-social behaviour from sport.
I agree with everything that’s been written about this on the national blog.
Ill conceived and ineffective.
I can only assume this was done with genuine intent and to truly make a stance…
.. that is unless this appears in any form of award submission or case study, in which case 303Lowe should be ashamed of themselves.
