Dawn Tingwell takes up sales director role at Community Newspaper Group
Community News has appointed Dawn M. Tingwell as their new Sales Director.
Tingwell (pictured) has over twenty years experience in senior sales leadership and strategy roles for Australia’s leading digital, technology and publishing companies.
She has recently been working via her sales and marketing consultancy, MTT Media on variety of long term assignments in technology and digita fields, such as cloud based survey and salary software company, Quinntessential Marketing and WA based start-up HealthEngine.com.au, ramping up their sales and business development; tender submissions and client retention initiatives.
Prior to staring her own consultancy, she worked for over 8 years at News Corp as Sales Director for Careerone.com.au and in strategic roles as Field Sales Strategy Manager. She led Careerone.com.au during time of extensive change from JV partnership with Monster, introduction of behavioral and cutting edge digital ad unit and events, like Virtual Careers Fair, invigoration of E-commerce channel and set up of Inside/telephone sales channel.
Tingwell has extensive blue-chip media experience and worked on transforming sales performance at Australian Women’s Weekly as Advertising Publisher and Fairfax as National Advertising Manager of SMH. During this time she was instrumental in creating new sales channels and structures, driving customer based solution selling, strong key accounts management, business development, team coaching, price initiatives and re-engineering sales processes to ensure consistency and excellence in execution and market approach.
Over the last 10 years, Tingwell has worked primarily in digital and technology arena on developing digital sales channels, teams, strategies and solutions for start ups like CareerOne.com.au, HealthEngine.com.au and AllAdvantage.com.
