Five Perth agencies make the cut for The Work 2014: Leo Burnett Sydney, Clemenger BBDO Wellington + Colenso BBDO Auckland fill top 3

Five Perth agencies have had entries accepted into The Work 2014.

303Lowe, Gatecrasher, Block Branding, Shedcsc and The Brand Agency have all made the cut and are part of the total 380 acceptances from 156 agencies throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

For the third year in a row Leo Burnett Sydney has taken out the “Agency of The Work” honour with the most number of acceptances in the 2014 annual. Leo Burnett Sydney had 17 acceptances making them the clear #1 this year.

Two New Zealand agencies placed second and third with Clemenger BBDO Wellington with 13 acceptances and Colenso BBDO Auckland were third with 11 acceptances. Leo Burnett Sydney also topped the past two years of The Work with 18 and 17 acceptances respectively. From Perth, The Brand Agency, Block Branding and Shedcsc all had 2 acceptances each and Gatecrasher and 303Lowe each had a single acceptance.

The Brand were successful with “Break the Barrier” and “Click to Save” for St John Ambulance; Block’s two acceptances were both for Feral Brewing Company; Shed were successful with HeartKids “Streetheart” and Atix “Roof Storage”; Gatecrasher made the cut with their “Breathtaking” spot for the Cancer Council; and 303Lowe are in with their IKEA Valentine’s Day print work.

The highest ranked agency from Asia this year is Cheil Worldwide Korea with 8 acceptances.

Three Ogilvy offices – Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong, Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai – and Grey Group Singapore were the next best performing Asian-based agencies with 7 acceptances each.

ADK Taiwan, BBDO Guerrero Philippines, DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu/Digit Philippines and Leo Burnett Thailand were the next best performing agencies from Asia with 6 acceptances each.

TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno Philippines, Cheil Hong Kong and JWT Singapore all had 5 acceptances.

This year just 380 ads and campaigns from 156 agencies were accepted into The Work 2014. The Work annual is the only permanent record of the very best advertising created in our region. The annual gathers the winners and finalists from all the important shows in the region and around the world over the past 18 months. Acceptances in The Work are counted in the Campaign Brief’s Creative Rankings.
