Top performance at printing awards vindicates Scott Print’s complete business overhaul
Scott Print was delighted with a strong performance at the recent state Printing Industries Craftsmanship Awards – the PICAs.
“We were the most awarded printer for our print quality with a bunch of golds, silver and bronze,” said John Scott. “The results have validated the total overhaul of our business, with the multi-million dollar installation of our new Komori presses.”
In particular, Scott Print was honoured to win Gold for Christian Fletcher’s photography book, Silver for Martine Perret’s ‘From Above’ and Gold for the WIRF Annual Report for the third year.
From a staff and environmental perspective, Scott won:
• Media Super’s Future Leader Award – Rio Chard (pictured above)
• Best Printed Entry by an Apprentice – Chris Aitken
• FutureNow Commitment to Workforce Development Award
• Environmental Award
“Other than quality, our main focus has been on developing the workforce and continuing to be the stand-out for environmental excellence,” said Scott. “Thank you so much to our existing clients who have supported us on this journey, and our new clients that have come on board. It has been a big year, but we are hitting our stride now and are seeing the fruits of our labour, with epic printing that has been getting positive feedback from clients. It’s really nice to be able to offer something fresh in print and see clients grow their businesses alongside us, with print remaining a key part of their advertising and marketing.”
