303Lowe promotes Al Taylor to group managing director role in Perth and Derry Simpson to the role of managing director: strategy + innovation
303Lowe has announced a number of changes to the management line up in its Perth office, promoting Al Taylor (right) and Derry Simpson (left) to new roles.
Says Nick Cleaver CEO, 303Lowe: “We are pleased to formally announce Al Taylor’s promotion to the role of group managing director of the Perth based companies and Derry Simpson’s elevation to the role of managing director: strategy & innovation.
“Al and Derry make a formidable and complementary team; over the last six years they have proven just how effectively they work together building our Perth business and generating game changing campaigns for our clients.”
Taylor’s new remit includes responsibility for the group operations of the company which incorporates 303Lowe’s full service offering, retail agency “Six”, print broking operation “2Print” and a mandate to expand the business into other key strategic growth areas of content generation, PR and activation.
Says Taylor: “Derry’s new role will broaden her responsibilities to take on a general managerial perspective with a particular focus on people and culture while still overseeing the strategy planning discipline in the agency.
“We have been undertaking a pretty significant re-shaping of the business, and this is one of a number of steps we are taking to ensure we are aligned with where contemporary communications is moving.
“We are also unique in Perth being a local agency that has successfully expanded our operation into Sydney and joined with an international partner to provide international reach to our clients. This is all about harnessing all of that to continue to deliver positive change to our clients brands and business.”
Says Simpson: “I’m really excited by what lies ahead and how we can leverage the talent that resides here in our Perth office. We have a wonderful blend of experience and youth in our management lineup with the ongoing guidance provided by our founder and ECD Lindsay Medalia, but also the flair and ambition of creative director Richard Berney.
“There has always been a unique culture here at 303Lowe, one that philosophically believes in the power of communication to make the world a better place and tangibly in the power of strategically led creativity to deliver transformational change to brands and businesses. Our ambition is to continue to evolve our offering to be true to our beliefs.”
The announcement comes after the recent addition of digital strategist Peter Liddell to the team and a string of account wins including: Lend Lease Residential, Budget Direct, Perth Racing, IMB Building Society and two Federal Government campaigns.

I thank my lucky stars that I had the privlidge to be exposed to all that is Derry when I was – not just because of what I learnt, but becasue it reminded me that people like Derry Simpson still exist. Be sponges youth of 303Lowe, be sponges.
What about story concernign the fact that three creatives have just left the agency? Mike Sequiera, Alex and Helen!
Onya, Dez! Very well deserved.
“…a mandate to expand the business into other key strategic growth areas of content generation, PR and activation.” This is what creative everywhere else in the world is already evolving into. First agency to crack it properly in WA will clean up.
Well deserved Al all the best cheers
