COMMUNICATION PLANNER – OMD WA

An opportunity has arisen for a Communication Planner to join the vibrant team as part of the implementation planning and client service hub of OMD WA.

 

As a Communication Planner you will be responsible for the origination of the media plan for all platforms including online and search, management of the implementation process, client relationship management, competitive reviews and preparing buying briefs.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the media industry in a friendly, busy and fast paced environment and to succeed in the position you will need:

  • Accuracy and an attention to detail,

PROJECT OFFICER, COMMUNICATIONS & ENGAGEMENT – CURTIN UNIVERSITY

Curtin is transforming,and we need a like-minded person to join one of our project teams on a five month contract.

Transforming Learning @ Curtin is a strategic program designed to position Curtin competitively in the global higher education market. Exciting times lie ahead as we strive to become the most sought after tertiary education provider in our time zone – offering a innovative, richly interactive, personalised, learning experience. This position is key to the development and implementation of student engagement and retention strategies. It will help deliver on this wider transformational vision.

We are on the hunt for a superstar content and communication specialist who is just as comfortable building strategies as they are creating and editing web content. Due to the nature of the project we need someone that is up for a challenge and really ready to hit the ground running.

We are a small team, but we are passionate (and sometimes crazy) about what we do, we want your quick thinking and fresh ideas to help us transform Curtin.

Specific duties may include:

  • Preparation, planning and implementation of communication strategies
  • Development and writing of communication guidelines and training of staff
  • Management of social media projects
  • Research and development of customer journeys
  • Sourcing students and staff for initiatives such as videos, photos, focus groups etc
  • Coordination of meetings
  • Planning documentation
  • Administration
  • Creating and editing web content
  • Other duties as required

Work Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant degree
  • 3 years+ experience in a communications and/or similar project role
  • Demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills with a cross cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work as part of team
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, multitask, work under pressure and be flexible
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients and staff across all levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under supervision, and at times independently, using initiative to resolve issues in a team-based, customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the function of the position.

DIGITAL POSITIONS (2) – MEERKATS

We’re Meerkats, The Brand Leadership Company and we’re looking for digital natives.

Brand Leadership is getting deep inside a business or organisation, unlocking their true purpose and bringing that to life through product and service design, internal comms, brand identity, ad campaigns, and more. This means we do a lot of work for clients. Not just advertising work either, we create management and staff workshops for clients, write staff handbooks, build business applications, create intranets, branded events,  develop content, social programs and heaps more. Oh and advertising.

This is where you come in. In a world where digital is an important part of branding and advertising comms, we need to add a few more natives to the integrated Kats team. You’re a Senior/Lead Developer

.Net, PHP, or a bit of both? You’re an experienced developer who’s looking to lead your own projects and people. You’re looking to work on development projects that vary all the time – websites, mobile, experiential. We have some unique ideas, so we want you to be inspired to develop the unthinkable. If you’ve got a few sys admin skills up your sleeve, we’d like to see them too.

You have:

  • Experience with recognised coding standards, practices and frameworks including change management and project management standards
  • Experience with Postgres/MySQL Databases
  • Experience with CMS such as Drupal, Joomla, Kentico, Sitecore
  • Good working knowledge of Ajax, Java Script, JQuery, HTML and CSS3
  • Knowledge of Web Services, Oracle database experience
  • iOS and Android knowledge
  • Testing and bug fixing across multiple browsers and platforms
  • Project mapping and planning
  • Server Administration
  • Hosting and DNS
  • At least 3 years relevant industry experience

You’re a Flash/Animation Developer (Full-time or Freelance)

We’re looking for an experienced Flash/ActionScript (AS3) Developer to create banner campaigns and online projects. You’re interested in HTML5 animation opportunities and looking towards new technologies to deliver accessible digital marketing.

You have:

  • Expert knowledge of Flash Animation and ActionScript 2/3
  • Experience with HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Interest in HTML based animation software such as Adobe Edge
  • Knowledge of Media/Ad tracking
  • Experience in optimising the bejesus out of a banner to hit media specifications
  • Knowledge of rich media and publisher formats
  • Knowledge of media tracking codes
  • Passionate about visual design and user interaction
  • At least three years industry experience
