Five Australian agencies shortlisted at Cannes Film Lions: St John Ambulance misses out
Australia has scored 9 shortlists that have made the cut in the Cannes Film Lions.
Unfortunately, Perth’s top chance in the category, St John Ambulance from The Brand Agency, didn’t make it through. Neither did Marketforce’s HBF campaign.
Overall 280 entries worldwide were included on the shortlist.
Ogilvy & Mather Sydney, BMF Sydney, DDB Melbourne, Proximity Brisbane and JWT Sydney have all made the cut.

St John was a better execution than an idea. Everyone i know who’s seen it seems to hold the same opinion, which is that the ad is all about her not being able to get to the boy rather than what she can do to save the boy once she does . Thats the St John bit and the fact that its missing, lets it down massively. Something the jury obviously thought too.
HBF in Cannes?? Seriously what were they thinking. I’d love to know how much these guys have blown on entry fees this year.
