State of the art presentation and screening facility The Backlot Studios to open in Perth in July

The Backlot Studios is coming to Perth. Permanently changing the screening landscape for Western Australia’s business and corporate communities, The Backlot Perth is a boutique, state-of-the-art facility designed to ensure presentations, films and conferences are presented at the highest possible standard.

Nestled between Northbridge and Leederville, on the outskirts of Perth’s CBD, The Backlot Perth features a 50 seat screening and presentation room, lounge and bar area, providing organisers plenty of options for hosting media and other important guests.

Currently under construction, the purpose-built facility is scheduled to open on July1, 2014 and will feature:

•     An 8.5m (w) x 4.5m (h) silver screen

•     Christie Solaria DCI 2k projector

•     7.1 Dolby Digital surround sound

•     3D screening capabilities

•     Corporate presentation facilities

•     State-of-the-art conferencing technology

•     Specially designed leather seating

In addition, a fully functioning lounge space and bar area will open up a variety of hospitality and entertainment options to create the ultimate experience for staff, clients, suppliers, customers and other important guests.

With a combined 56 years experience within the local WA film and events industry, Hale said he and fellow co-owners Jason Dover and Sian Delaney are committed to creating an experience that not only meets and exceeds client expectations, but provides a venue that reflects the professionalism, ethos and integrity of those businesses and organisations.

The Backlot Perth is aligned with The Backlot Studios, founded by Tony Ianiro and Mark D’Angelo and based in Melbourne.

The Backlot Studios offers clients an even greater variety of services, particularly production, via their sister company, The Backlot Films. Operating since early 2013, The Backlot Studios has been working toward a national presence, with Perth opening in July and Brisbane to follow later this year.
