Perth Radio Survey 2/2014 results released
After some big swings in Survey 1, the second metro radio survey from GfK is a little more settled but still shows some significant movements.
Mix 94.5 is #1 P10+ with a 14.4% share. Triple J is #2 on 12.8%, followed by Nova 93.7 on 11.6%, ABC720 on 11.1% and 96fm 10.4%.
There’s a familiar look about the survey with Southern Cross Austereo’s 92.9 a solid #1 in P10-17 and Mix 94.5 dominant in P40-54. Things are a little more competitive in 18-24s and 25-39s. Triple J is on top in both demos, but Nova is the leading commercial station with 20.0% share in 18-24s and 18.7% in 25-39s. 92.9 is #2 18-24s, followed by Mix 94.5 and 96fm.
96fm is #2 in 25-39s followed by Mix 94.5 and 92.9.
6PR will be relieved at regaining much of the audience it ‘lost’ in Survey 1 with +6.2% in P65+ to be on 17.1% share and #2 in that demo behind ABC 720.
ABC 720’s Eoin Cameron is still #1 in Breakfast on 15.6%, 2.3 points ahead of Mix 94.5’s Clairsy, Shane & Kymba on 13.3%. Nova’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun have slipped to fourth on 11.8%, 0.3 behind Triple J’s Breakfast on 12.1%.
Nova 93.7 has the highest Cumulative Audience overall (504,000 P10+) and in Breakfast (309,000).
