DAH_WLB_1-1-2_Woodbeam_BLOG.jpgThe Dale Alcock brand is revealing its love affair with building in a playful TV ad that consolidates branding across its new homes, improvements and developments divisions. Getting up close and personal with the building process, the 30-second We Love Building was masterminded by 303Lowe.

Quirky camera angles and swift scene changes give us a “hands on” perspective as cement floors are laid, walls are demolished, bricks are delivered and sites are surveyed.

Besides the 30-second TVC, DAH has also released a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at how the production was put together at various locations around Perth.

Scott Quayle, Marketing Manager at Dale Alcock, said the aim was to capture the expertise, commitment and love the company has for building, whether it’s designing a new home, remodelling an existing one or developing for an investor.

“Dale Alcock has always been known for building new homes. What people are not so aware of is that the company has a renovation division and a property development division as well. Our new ad is part of a more cohesive approach to our branding that not only emphasises the fact that we do love building, but also capitalises on the history and value associated with the Dale Alcock name.”

Dale Alcock, the former brickie who started the award-winning company more than 25 years ago, looks after the voiceover as we’re taken on a whistle-stop tour of several building sites. We meet trades, apprentices and supervisors, and go behind the scenes with the designers, schedulers and managers at the company’s HQ, Dale Alcock Central.

Condensing truckloads of building activity into a 30-second spot called for meticulous planning and a cleverly constructed script that highlights the team spirit and collaboration behind a Dale Alcock home.

Prue Tehan, Head of Client Management at 303Lowe, said the “up close and personal” view of the Dale Alcock approach to building depended on some interesting camerawork.

“On many occasions during filming we rigged a camera to a person or their equipment so that the camera moved in unison with the tools or equipment they were using. It made for a more immediate perspective, helped highlight the builder’s attention to the tiniest of details and presented the viewer with angles that they would not normally get to experience.”

We Love Building airs until the end of the financial year.
