Ellenbrook welcomes a very special guest
Ellenbrook has always been a pretty cosmopolitain place, attracting people from across the globe. Perhaps that’s why the town was chosen by Elfred, Ellenbrook’s first resident from the North Pole. Elfred has made himself right at home in the last week. So much so that he’s renamed the town Elfenbrook.
LWP Marketing Executive Jess Jacobs is a little concerned, but believes the name change will be short lived.
“We welcome people from all over the world in Ellenbrook, and we’re always ready to incorporate new traditions into our cultural mixing pot. However we feel Elfred’s name change is a little presumptuous. We’ll let him have his way over the Christmas period, but after that it’s back to Ellenbrook. We’ve invested too much in the brand to change names now.”
Elfred and his paintbrush have hijacked billboards, town signage, press ads and even Ellenbrook Christmas cards. LWP’s agency, JWT Perth, were less than impressed.
“We’ve already got account management, clients and legal departments changing our work. Now an Elf,” said Creative Director, Dav Tabeshfar.
Chris O’Keefe from Ellenbrook’s media agency was equally unimpressed. “Humbug” said O’Keefe.
