New approach for Scitech via Gatecrasher
Scitech has previously relied on its feature exhibitions to raise awareness and drive visitation. This year, through Gatecrasher, a new strategic approach has resulted in a campaign which presents the surprisingly wide range of everyday attractions, shows, planetarium experiences and exhibits, along with the very latest feature exhibition, Ingenious.
The ‘Science at its most surprising’ commercial was written by Richard Clarke, directed by Lori Canalini, and shot by Sam Passante with all the computer-animation developed by Zac. The music/soundscaping track was written and produced by Chris Honey Music.

The television, which takes the viewer on an exciting, inter-molecular journey through all the ‘surprising’ attractions, also extends into a new suite of press and outdoor advertising and collateral material.
“There is enormous creative potential for Scitech to produce an ongoing series of highly imaginative and impactful ‘Surprise’ campaigns over the coming months and years,” said Clarke. “Scitech is constantly developing creative ways of getting kids to enjoy the ‘surprise’ and pleasure of participating in hands-on learning experiences and experiments and making their own scientific discoveries.”
