Cooch Creative founding partner Spencer Battista resigns to look for creative opportunities
Cooch Creative founding partner and Director, Spencer Battista, has announced his resignation from the company after ten years.
Battista (left), Head of Art for Cooch since it opened its doors in 2003, said the time was right to move on, “I have enjoyed ten fantastic years with Cooch Creative, but have reached a stage in my career where I feel I need to grow and evolve creatively.”
“The opportunity to broaden my creative horizons, particularly through new media or in a more diverse environment, is a challenge I can’t resist,” Battista said.
Battista, who is also the President of the Perth Advertising and Design Club, is one of Perth’s leading creatives, with more than 30 years’ industry experience. Prior to founding Cooch with Ron Samuel and Mick Colliss, Battista has worked as a creative lead for John Davis Advertising, FBC Shorter, Clemenger and a number of other high profile agencies, in a career that began in Perth in 1980.
“I feel I am at the peak of my creative ability now and am excited about working on new ideas, campaigns, and with other great creative minds,” said Battista.
“There is so much great creative talent around, both in Perth and further afield. The future is looking bright.”
Battista’s last day with Cooch Creative will be on Wednesday, 20 November.

Still behind the peak of ya biceps though. Best of luck mate.
Sorry. I just don’t buy the ‘have to leave for creative reasons’ story.
Come on Spence…WTF.
Good luck mate, all the best.
I had the privilege to work with Spencer at Clemenger during the nineties. I learnt heaps. A more dedicated, high-integrity and hard-working creative you’d be pressed to find anywhere. Goodonya Spinny – best wishes for your future – John.
Well he won’t find too many creative opportunities in Perth, enjoy spreading your wings Spencer!

Time to look further afield, Spinny. The world is your oyster. I would say good luck but you won’t need it.
