Rivalries on show as Initiative gets its media partners to fight it out… all for a good cause
Thursday, October 3 was no ordinary day at Initiative. It was the day where media companies from around Perth went head-to-head in the company’s inaugural Corporate Games Day to raise money for Oxfam.
Long-standing rivalries came to light with media companies duelling it out in three-legged races, tunnel ball clashes, and the old favourite egg & spoon race just to name a few. There was good-natured hijacking, a few sneaky cheaters, lots of sweat and a few tears… but in the end it came down to three teams battling it out for the title.
The Nine Network/WIN WA came in third place, leaving a tiebreaker between the outstanding Nova 93.7 team and the uber-competitive Sunday Times.
In the end it was The Sunday Times who secured the win with a breathtaking egg catch!
Initiative would like to thank all its media partners who participated in the Corporate Games Day. Special mention goes to Evoke Media who supplied the sausage sizzle. All money raised will go to Oxfam and contribute to the building of freshwater wells in Bangladesh.
In addition a team of dedicated walkers/crazy people from Initiative will be participating in the Oxfam Trailwalker over the next 48 hours, Friday 18th – Saturday 19th October. It is a 100km trek from Kalamunda to Chidlow to raise money for this great cause.
