Humaan collected eight awards across four categories – eCommerce, Mobile, Innovation and Commercial – and will contest the national Australian Web Awards later this month.

Humaan Creative Director, Jay Hollywood (pictured far left), said he was honoured, delighted and humbled in equal measure given the strength of the WA web industry.

“In a local industry brimming with talent it was beyond our expectations to emerge as successful as we did,” he said.

With his partner Karen (pictured near left), Hollywood founded Humaan three years ago with a vision for a premium design and development agency that prioritised the human experience in the digital realm. He said smaller local agencies such as Humaan were well placed to compete with larger, national or multi-national competitors because of the levelling effect of the digital space.

“A smaller agency can still have the same impact in terms of great ideas, service delivery and value adding to clients. Quite often they are actually better placed because they are more agile and have fewer overheads while still offering world class quality” he said.
