Perth Radio Survey 6/2013 released
Results from the Nielsen Metro Radio Survey 6/2013 were released this morning. It shows Fairfax Radio’s 96fm is back on top as the #1 station with a 12.5% share P10+.
Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 was second with 12.2%, just ahead of Nova 93.7 on 12.1%.
Last survey’s #1 station, non-commercial Triple J slipped to 4th on 11.2%. Its result was affected by some big losses in 10-17s (-9.0 to 8.5%) and 18-24s (-9.3 to 29.4%), as well as a smaller drop in 25-39s (-3.6 to 22.8%).
Nova 93.7 has consolidated its strong position in younger demos, being the #1 commercial station in 10-17s (34.3%), 18-24s (21.8%) and 25-39s (18.6%).
After falling behind 96fm in Survey 5, Mix 94.5 is back on top in its core P40-54 demo with a 21.5% share.
Capital Radio’s 6IX maintained its #1 position for P50-64, and 6PR was the top commercial station P65+ on 17.7%.
In Breakfast, ABC 720’s Eoin Cameron was #1 overall on 15.4, up 0.8%. Nova’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun was again the #1 commercial Breakfast on 13.5%, up 1.0% from Survey 5. Rival Mix 94.5’s The Bunch – which is moving to the Drive slot in 2014 and will be replaced by Clairsy, Shane & Kymba from October 28 – was 11.9%.
Nathan, Shaun & Nat also had Perth’s biggest Cumulative Audience – 305,000 – in their Breakfast session.
