ADVERTISING SALES EXECUTIVE, AGENCIES – THE WEST AUSTRALIAN

A position exists for a talented sales person to join a successful, motivated and hard-working team. Previous experience of working in the advertising sector would be a distinct advantage, however is no essential.

Your responsibilities will involve growing revenue from an existing client base while identifying new business opportunities from within your designated area.

You need to be well presented, have an outgoing and enthusiastic personality and possess an inward desire to achieve you sales targets.

Having experience within the newspaper or media industry would be viewed favourably together with a proven track record in sales.

As an enthusiastic sales executive you must be able to quickly build relationships with existing clients and demonstrate how newspaper and online adverting solutions work. The ability to work to deadlines is essential as is a current “C” class licence.

A comprehensive training program is offered on all aspects of advertising and sales, thorough management support is also given. An opportunity exists for a Sales Co-ordinator to join our successful WA Sales Team, working for Fairfax Media.

Fairfax Media Limited [ASX:FXJ] is a leading multi-platform media company in Australasia. The group comprises metropolitan, rural, regional and community mastheads and serves its audiences through high-quality, independent journalism and offers dynamic venues for commerce and information.

Working in the newly created Australian Publishing Media and based in Subiaco, the role reports to the State Manager, WA and is responsible for the day to day sales support of the WA team.

Australian Publishing Media (APM) consolidates business units formerly known as Metro Media, Financial Review Group, Fairfax Regional Media, Agricultural Media and FCN NSW. APM has four publishing units (News Media, Business Media, Life Media and Australian Community Media) responsible for content generation and product management for all wholly-owned digital and print mastheads in Australia, such as The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Australian Financial Review, The Canberra Times and The Land, among others.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your outstanding organisation and time management skills whilst providing administrative support for a group of extremely busy salespeople.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a large amount of advertising bookings, handle enquiries and sales with clients and agencies by telephone and email while researching and recommending options to maximise sales revenue across multiple platforms.

An interest and understanding in digital advertising would be beneficial. Previous experience in advertising would also be advantageous.

This role is fast paced and varied and would suit an outgoing, flexible and enthusiastic team player with strong  organizational, analytical and administration experience.

You will have the desire to be able to develop sales skills across multiple media platforms and put into practice your excellent written and oral communication skills, whilst demonstrating a customer focussed approach.

As an integral part of this dynamic team you will have the opportunity to capitalise on your exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high pressure environment.

Your strong desire and interest of the Australian media landscape, drive to achieve and the ability to multi task are vital for success in this role.

We have an upcoming vacancy for a Senior Developer with proficient skills and experience in .NET (programming) for a 3-6 month contract, after an initial 3-4 week freelance period for our Geraldton based client. Salary is commensurate to experience and qualifications, and we are seeking candidates willing to relocate to Geraldton, who have worked in .NET (including C#) for around 5 years.
