Click2Bid_logo_BLOG.jpgOver 130 vendors have contributed approximately $5 Million worth of top quality products and services for sale in the 5th annual Click2Bid online auction.

At a time when the future of retail is virtual, Click2Bid offers bricks and mortar businesses with or without an existing online presence, an opportunity to compete head on with the booming eCommerce industry – and with the full weight and promotional support of The West Australian.

This year’s auction includes $1.1 million worth of new home electronics and appliances from Kambos Homemaker Superstores and over 30 cars from John Hughes and other local Perth dealers.

Participating vendors contribute goods and services for auction. When their item(s) sell they receive the full retail value of those items in advertising credits to spend with The West Australian. In addition, for no upfront cost, vendors benefit from an intense integrated promotional campaign promoting the event and its retailers, items and sponsors.

Since its inception in 2009, Click2Bid has seen over 63,000 registered bidders purchase over 23,500 items, generating over $12 Million in incremental revenue for The West Australian.

Project Manager Nadia Saitta believes Click2Bid offers The West Australian a real point of difference in the market.

“Click2Bid offers a win, win, win – and we’re the only media company in WA that can truly say that. We’re able to generate incremental revenue, our advertisers are able to fund their campaigns at a wholesale cost of their products whilst also benefiting from added value promotion, and finally consumers get a fantastic deal on great items – at up to 50% off retail prices.”

Click2Bid will be LIVE from tomorrow, August 9, to Sunday August 18 at www.click2bid.com.au. Part proceeds will go to Telethon.
