ADMA CEO Jodie Sangster will present on:
• how changes to the Privacy Act will affect the ability to do personalised marketing;
• the effects on customer personal data collection;
• guidance on using personal data for marketing purposes;
• how the changes will impact the customer relationship;
•what it will mean for prospect marketing.

“Changes to the Privacy Act will come into effect March 2014, meaning businesses need to act now to understand how they will be affected in terms of their customer and prospective customer data handling practice,” said Sangster.
“There are some significant changes coming that will affect how businesses can market to customers and prospects. These have the potential to have a big impact on future marketing and advertising activities. There are also some more subtle changes that will require new business processes and procedures. It takes time to build these into business systems so that the compliance cost and interruption to normal activity is kept to a minimum.”
“ADMA has a responsibility to ensure the industry understands what’s coming and avoid the massive million dollar fines that could be imposed if the amended privacy laws are breached.”
