The role

We’re recruiting a full time Senior Web Designer. Joining our producers, developers and digital strategists, you’ll design and develop digital user experiences for projects at 303Lowe Perth. This involves designing best practice visual solutions, developing digital designs that deploy on any device or platform, are optimised for usability, demonstrate design based thinking and application, solve user and business objectives, support brand strategy, and of course comply with web standards.

The skills

We’re looking for an experienced digital designer with a sparkling portfolio of work to do:

Web/interface design

  • Create and maintain a high standard of web styles, front end code and user interface design for a wide spectrum of digital projects.
  • Manage processes, procedures and documentation for design production.
  • Inspire and educate with innovative ideas and emerging technology trends in web design and usability.
  • Develop and optimise digital assets through analysis, testing, and iterative design processes, for all projects and devices.

Training & development

  • Nurture and develop creative design staff on digital design and user experience.
  • Develop design solutions for creative briefs with project stakeholders and management.
  • Champion user centric design and brand experience principles to all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and conduct training on user-centric design theory and practice.
  • Ensure current web standards are achieved.

User experience

  • Planning, performing, evaluating and documenting user experience activities including usability tests, prototypes, personas, interaction flows, storyboards and customer journeys.
  • Researching, developing, and communicating a long-term, innovative UX direction for the agency.

The must haves

Of course you’ll be fully across W3C and WCAG standards, use the Adobe CS suite at a professional level, have an advanced qualification in design or interactive design, be able to code HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and/or JQuery at a rapid rate, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Use your strategic ability and commercial acumen to manage a Marketing and Communications team and develop our Department’s brand and projects.
