PADC Awards highlight: Squooshi Corporation packaging designed by Block Branding
One of the highlights of Friday night’s PADC Awards was the performance of Block Branding.
Block dominated the design categories, with their work on Squooshi packaging picking up Gold and Silver.
With disposable pouches of pre-made baby food contributing to hundreds of thousands of tonnes of landfill each year, Squooshi wanted to create a product that would be enjoyable for kids to use whilst being reusable and helping the environment. With the product design still being tested, Block were commissioned to name it and then create an identity and packaging design that would appeal to both children and their parents.
The packaging (shown here) was created by Block’s Megan Brown, Daniela Varone and Mark Braddock.

Whoever wrote this article has got their facts wrong about the line up of individuals involved in designing the Squooshi packaging.
Hi – sorry but what do you mean that the line-up of individuals are wrong?
Thanks, Tanya
Big congrats Block – quirky name and design plus two podium finishes!!
Carol and Tanya.
I’m confused.
Remember when you would saw the latest award winning work and felt that hole in your chest as your creative heart was ripped out.
I miss that feeling.
