Groves & Groves loses Stockland to Clemenger BBDO Sydney following national consolidation

Groves & Groves in Perth has lost their foundation account Stockland Residential following the consolidation of the account nationally with Clemenger BBDO Sydney.
Stockland had previously used several agencies across different states – Sapient Nitro in Victoria and Queensland, The Property Agency in New South Wales and Grove & Groves in Western Australia.

And another one goes east. The marketing departments within these companies must realise soon that they are killing themselves as well as the industry in Perth. Won’t be long before parent companies realise that there is no need for marketing departments in WA.
Good thought S. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some sort of cohesive industry response to news like this – one that makes your point among others. Who’s job is this? Anyone? Anyone?
Will need marketing departments, may not need advertising agencies in Perth.
Grow up Perth. It’s not the responsibility of business to foster our advertising industry. JWT won RAC on price because we’re nowhere near as good as we think we are. If this town was such a world-leading creative centre why do all our true stars go east, or west to Asia?
Stop whinging, earn your salary and thank God you have a job.
The temptation to become the 17th biggest client at a top 20 agency and the one the creatives rush to research debriefs to avoid must have been too strong to resist.
Stockland’s contract used to be national out of SA. Am sure they felt the same when it was split into states. Goes in cycles – will probably go back to state next time around!
