Channel 9 Perth is part of the WIN / Nine Television Network. The WIN Network is Australia’s largest commercial television network, committed to providing first-class entertainment and news services to a potential audience of 8.5 million viewers across Australia.
We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and commercially savvy professional to join Channel 9 Perth as our Publicity, Marketing & Communications Manager.
Responsible for managing communications, media, public relations, publicity, advertising and marketing strategies for Channel 9 Perth. Also responsible for the development of broad community awareness of the television station, associated programs and personalities.
This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive experience in media promotions, a keen eye for detail and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. To succeed in this role you will also possess:
· Previous experience planning & working to budgets
· Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
· Demonstrated ability to network and build strategic relationships.
· Well developed leadership skills
· Experience in negotiating contract arrangements, implementing and evaluating quantitative and qualitative feedback
· Logistical/organisational skills, and a professional confident approach to business dealings
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision

$102,830 – $110,213 per annum PSGOGA.
Fixed term contract to 30 June 2013 with option for extension and/or permanency.
The position Reporting to the General Manger Communications and Marketing, you will develop community engagement strategies and plans for the State’s $107 billion resources sector.
The role will facilitate and lead engagement activities, identify training to build internal capability, respond to community and stakeholder enquiries and develop engagement tools. You must have demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and managing the continual improvement of community engagement strategies and plans. Your experience must include developing technical material written in plain English such as fact sheets, presentations, articles, website content and media releases.
To be successful in the role you require exceptional written and spoken communication skills. A high level of attention to detail is essential, along with facilitation, influencing and negotiating skills. Knowledge of the resources sector and the IAP2 public participation spectrum will be
highly regarded.
Job Requirements/Capabilities: To undertake this role successfully you require: • A Degree qualification and/or relevant experience in communications, public relations, marketing, social sciences or an equivalent. • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and managing the continual improvement of community engagement strategies. • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
