CHANNEL 9 PERTH – PUBLICITY, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Channel 9 Perth is part of the WIN / Nine Television Network. The WIN Network is Australia’s largest commercial television network, committed to providing first-class entertainment and news services to a potential audience of 8.5 million viewers across Australia.

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and commercially savvy professional to join Channel 9 Perth as our Publicity, Marketing & Communications Manager.

Responsible for managing communications, media, public relations, publicity, advertising and marketing strategies for Channel 9 Perth. Also responsible for the development of broad community awareness of the television station, associated programs and personalities.

This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive experience in media promotions, a keen eye for detail and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. To succeed in this role you will also possess:

·       Previous experience planning & working to budgets

·       Experience managing multiple events simultaneously

·       Demonstrated ability to network and build strategic relationships.

·       Well developed leadership skills

·       Experience in negotiating contract arrangements, implementing and evaluating quantitative and qualitative feedback

·       Logistical/organisational skills, and a professional confident approach to business dealings

·       Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (POOL) CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Position No: Pool Ref 20115145

Salary: 5 $75,570 – $83,520 pa PSGOGA pro rata

Location: South Perth (other locations may be considered)

The Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) is dedicated to working with industry and community partners to increase the economic impact of the agriculture and food sector in Western Australia.

Our Department currently has two permanent full time level 5 positions available (20115145 and 20110005) for suitably qualified and experienced communication and marketing specialists to join our dynamic Corporate Communications team.

It is anticipated further opportunities may become available over the next 12 months in this or other areas.  These opportunities will be offered on a permanent or fixed term basis and suitable applicants will be placed into a pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise (full time and part time options will be considered). These positions are likely to be based in South Perth.

Position 20115145 is a communications officer role that will be responsible for assisting with the development of communications strategies for industry Directorates, effectively implementing communications and promotions activities including the preparation and editing of written and promotional material, and other key corporate communication activities.

Position 2011005 is a communications/marketing role with a particular focus on event management, sponsorship and coordination.  In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and corporate communication activities to promote community awareness of our Department and the importance of the agriculture and food sector in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities for these and further communication roles which may become available will include;

·       Developing communication and marketing strategies,

·       Coordinating and preparing speeches, media releases and other corporate written material,

·       Implementing communications and promotions activities including corporate displays, and

·       Developing on-line and social media campaigns.

The successful applicants for these roles will be part of the Corporate Communications team and work with industry Directorates to coordinate strategic marketing and project communications to provide consistency of message at regional, directorate and State level. These opportunities will enable you to use your communications expertise to develop, expand and maintain networks and effective communication pathways with a variety of internal and external customers and to enhance and build stakeholder relationships, both within and outside the Department, to facilitate the achievement of strategic outcomes.

consideration may then be given to offering a further term(s) or permanent appointment subject to conditions.

Pool: The pool will operate for a period of 12 months on completion of the review period.  Applicants found suitable will be placed into a pool from which permanent appointments may be made, on a full time or part time basis, when similar or like vacancies occur.
