iiNet up for review following split with Meerkats
One of Perth’s largest accounts is about to undergo a pitch following the news on Friday that Meerkats has resigned the iiNet business.
iiNet is a foundation client of Meerkats and the agency has had a long and successful relationship on the account. It’s expected the upcoming account review will be hotly contested with most of Perth’s large and medium sized agencies eager to take part.
In July the client appointed Sydney-based BWM to handle several important projects and this relationship is expected to grow further.
iiNet also appointed OMD Perth to handle media planning and buying with one CB source suggesting that this could give Marketforce a jump on other agencies to get on the pitch list.

what is happening to the Kats?
Brand and 303lowe have the digital clout and staff numbers
Marketforce should be happy with the media
Another one headed east (albeit with an office in the west)
Digital clout? Really?
What about the newly formed JWT?
Could there be something in this for them?
Usual story.
Small agency puts the client on the map then all of a sudden they are not good enough for them.
Are MK the new MF?
Ouch@ 9.00am
No. iiNet is the new RAC. Dumb down the WA creative offering and create everything over east. That is the future
to “That’s a Shame” – now you all know how it feels. Production houses have been doing it for years. Working on piddly budgets but delivering the best possible job. Soon as the client wants to spend a bit more, creative go East. I think the word is Karma
to “Production people” – it’s very simple. They take you out to a slap-up lunch at the clients’ expense in Sydney. Nice fish place, trendy burger joint. Or a best of all a really good curry house. I think the word is Korma.
