AWARD School1_Page_1.jpgFollowing up this morning’s photo coverage of the AWARD School graduation, here’s a selection of work from the top students’ portfolios.

A record fifty-plus students applied to AWARD school this year. Last night honoured the eight who stood out from the pack and made it through to the end. AWARD school tutors this year were Richard Berney (303Lowe), Murray Laird and Garry Horner (both Brand Agency). The students’ books were judged by a well-credentialed panel made up of Pat Lennox, Co-CD at Marketforce, Steve Straw, ACD at 303Lowe, Jon Jungwirth, Senior Art Director at Meerkats and Adam Barker, CD at Gatecrasher.

Alida Henson, currently employed at Austereo and author of a Siren-winning radio commercial last year, distanced herself from the rest and took home the prestigious WA Top Student pencil. AWARD school head Kurt Beaudoin (CD Meerkats) said the scoring was extremely close particularly for 2nd and 3rd positions.

The bar stayed open till late thanks to the generous support of Boogie Monster.
