Rene.jpgAfter a competitive tender process in February this year, the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) has chosen 303LOWE as their agency partner for Strategic Communications including creative, media, production and online services.

303LOWE is obviously pleased with the win and looking forward to some challenging campaigns – particularly in the next twelve months with the 2013 State general election and possible by-elections to manage.

“This a fantastic win for us and a great opportunity to work with the WAEC on some really challenging social marketing campaigns,” said René Migliore (pictured), 303LOWE Head of Business Management. “The WAEC is facing a host of new opportunities, like engaging with ‘Gen-Y’ and using new media to encourage participation in the election process. We’ve enjoyed a very positive relationship with the Electoral Commission having worked on projects in the past. The ‘Best to be involved’ election campaign in 2005 was a highlight and showed that the WAEC is capable of pushing the strategic and creative boundaries. We look forward to collaborating with the team again.”

The WAEC is responsible for managing a range of electoral processes and campaigns such as State general elections, by-elections and referenda, enrolment services and maintenance of electoral rolls, community awareness of electoral processes and local government elections. The main focus for communications over the next 18 months will be to increase enrolment and voting at elections, particularly the next State general election on 9 March 2013.
