KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children – that has gone viral globally over the last few days – that aims to make notorious Ugandan guerilla group leader Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

John of Dalkeith sent it to ten of his friends and he still lives in Dalkeith, so that was a great outcome for John.
Neville of Girrawheen didn’t bother to send it to any of his friends and the next day he was evicted from his Homeswest home!

If you read up on this issue you will see that it’s not black and white. Invisible Children donates 32% of its profit to the military in Uganda. Military intervention against an army of children is a horrific cause.

Ellie aren’t you just making a ‘black and white’ point as well?
I suppose you need to decide which is the less of two evils – a man who has kidnapped over 30,000 kids and forced them into his army and sex slavery and will keep doing so – or ‘dontating’ to the Ugandan Army, (the US has sent over 100 soliders to help train them) so they can train and properly equip themselves to hunt this guy down and stop him. Horrific as it is – and it is horrific to have military intervention against a kids army – its a matter of collateral damage to stop him and to save kids lives in the future.
