ECU reappoints 303Lowe and adds Longtail
Edith Cowan University (ECU) has reappointed 303Lowe as its principal advertising agency.
ECU’s Director of Marketing and Communications, Julia Turner, said 303Lowe will handle ECU’s digital and offline advertising.
“We are delighted to reappoint 303Lowe to the ECU account. 303Lowe have worked with us for a number of years and have a fantastic understanding of our brand and where we need to take it,” Turner said. “Together, ECU and 303Lowe have produced some very successful campaigns and we look forward to continuing success with them.”
In a new move for ECU, the University has also appointed digital agency Longtail to the account to plan and implement various digital projects.
“With digital marketing such a critical component of the marketing mix, we believe the ability to tap into the digital expertise of two top agencies will be of significant benefit to us and give us a competitive edge,” said Turner. “Longtail impressed us with their understanding of the ECU brand and the tertiary education market and have already given us some great ideas to think about in 2012.”
Longtail CEO, Carlo Bertozzi, said they were looking forward to working on the account.
“We have a long history of working with tertiary institutions and we are excited to be able bring this knowledge and experience to the ECU brand” said Bertozzi.
“You always want to work with clients who are excited to try new things and break a few rules,” said Creative Director Josh Edge. “We’ve had some refreshingly frank and enjoyable conversations with ECU that have all the hallmarks of a great client to work with in the digital space. 2012 is shaping up to be a busy year for us.”
The ECU pitch represent back–to-back wins for Longtail, who were recently appointed to the Heart Foundation’s digital business.
