New Chair and committee members for Australian Market and Social Research Society in WA

The WA Division of the Australian Market and Social Research Society (AMSRS) has seen a number of changes in the past few months. Marquis Pohla (far left), Managing Director of Metrix Consulting was appointed Chairman in August, taking over from Tourism WA’s Derryn Belford. Pohla was also appointed to the AMSRS National Board in September.

Commented Pohla: “Creating professional development opportunities for our members will continue to be our key focus but we will also be working to increase our membership base, grow the profile of the industry amongst the business community and to educate buyers on best practices in research.”

Two new committee members have been appointed. TNS Director Penny Coase will take on an executive role on the committee as Secretary, while Researchpanel’s General Manager Denise Koh (above right) will be responsible for the WA Conference.

“We are very fortunate to have Penny and Denise joining us,” said Pohla. “They are both highcalibre individuals with strong professional track records and we are excited about the contribution they can make to the WA Division.”
