2011 PADC Awards Call for Entries: Your chance to make mum and dad proud
However before you do, you’ll need to carefully read this year’s PADC Call for Entries, which you can download here:
Then get your work delivered to Curtin University by 12 noon Friday, August 12 and uploaded on to the new PADC website no later than 5.00pm the same day.
This year a few changes have been introduced not only to the categories, but the entry mechanism itself.
Entry this year will be via the PADC’s new website, which is currently under construction by Tune In Tokyo and will be ready to rock prior to August 1 when entries open.
This year the system will be open for two week to ensure it is all working A-OK.
You are required to upload a soft copy of all your work so that our judges can pre-judge the work before arriving in Perth on Friday, September 9 2011 for the final round of judging.
As entry numbers have increased in recent years, so has the pressure on the judges to get through all of the work in one very long day. The new system will ensure that they are not rushed and have enough time for discussion, particularly when it comes to awarding the metal.
Print and Radio are pretty straight forward and the PADC is currently working with Adstream who have kindly offered their services to get the Television mechanics running smoothly. This is very close to being finalised and final instructions will be sent out asap.
In the meantime there’s no excuse not to start compiling your entries and getting all of your ducks in a row in order to avoid any last minute panics.
If you have any queries please contact Karen Marks on 0437 550 222.

A bit of advice needed from the anons. I’ve got an edgy press campaign for John Hughes. It features young girls and a variety of farmyard animals. In your opinion, should I test it at the PADCs, or wait and put it straight into the press category at Cannes? Obviously John Hughes knows nothing about it. And it’s never run.
Hey Brazil Boy, don’t worry mate, Steve Back isn’t chairman of judges this year so you should be sweet. As we all know, he’s a bastion of anti-scam and never, ever did anything like that to further his career. We’re so lucky he reigned in all the scam work that year (and the stuff that ‘might’ have been, oh and the stuff that he just didn’t like) so we could celebrate the 3 or 4 awards that truly made the 20 year anniversary so memorable.
Wow.
Strong cynicism in this thread.
Let’s get it on.
Is the Mandurah Mail a sponsor this year?
