Graphic Designer required for busy Subiaco design studio

We need a highly motivated designer for immediate start in our busy design studio based in Subiaco.

You will be responsible for creating designs (mostly for print) which are visually outstanding across a broad range of projects. You will be expected to understand a brief and be able to manage any given project from concept through to output within specified time frames. Your technical skills in Adobe CS5 must be impressive. Print techniques and pre-press skills are essential. You will report directly to the Creative Director.

You will be passionate about creativity. You will be confident in liaising directly with clients and conduct yourself in a courteous, professional and pleasant manner.  Experience is not essential but creativity, passion for design, attention to detail and technical excellence is.

Located right near Subi Oval, our client is a rising star in the ‘Integrated Marketing and Communications’ industry. They’re big enough to pull national clients, but not ginormous, meaning you’ll get the chance to be a big fish in a small-ish bowl and really play a part in the company’s growth and direction. In fact, it’s part of the job requirement. Our client needs a motivated Business Development Manager / Account Manager whose job is to keep one eye on a small portfolio of existing clients while the other is constantly seeking out and developing new relationships. To pull both off successfully, you’ll need a rock solid understanding of marketing and communications, with a passion for both offline, online and through the line.

Interested? At a bare minimum, you must have the following:

·       2+ years relevant new business development skills

·       Proven ability in building strategic, long term client relationships

·       Personality to be able to deal with and liaise well at ground level through to exec level

·       Drive, motivation and determination to over-achieve set revenue budgets

·       Deep knowledge of advertising and media solutions

·       Experience in selling high end, high price strategic solutions

·       Market knowledge in terms of being able to identify and target potential customers

·       Ability to create a 1, 2 & 3 year marketing/business plan/strategy with specific objectives and targets (and meet them)!

·       Proposal writing skills

·       Board level presentation experience (internal and external)

·       Lead generation via market research and networking within the industry and/or via an existing network of contacts

·       Fully IT literate

·       Creative thinking
