WAM BAM competition for animators

WAM BAM is the intensive and fun 48-hour speed animation competition run by WAnimate, the Western Australian Animation Association. This unique competition pits several teams against each other in an all-out battle to cook up the most imaginative animated film they can, within an incredibly challenging deadline.

Each team of up to five participants draws three random words from a hat. These words are used as a springboard to inspire the rapid brainstorming of creative story ideas. Participants can register as teams, or as individuals to be matched up into a team.

A public screening and catered networking event is held on Sunday night, with awards are given out by both a panel of judges and popular vote. Final films will also be made available through the WAnimate website with many participants also including their films on showreels.
