Curtin students compete to create The Brand Agency’s latest campaign for Studentbox
A new campaign for Curtin’s Studentbox, created by The Brand Agency, goes to air this week, written by Curtin student Sarah Bahbah. Her work was judged the winner following an internal competition among Curtin’s 3rd year advertising and design students.
Says Brand Senior Account Manager Taryn Payne: “Who better than the students themselves to create work for Studentbox? They are so in tune with this product that they were able to bring a unique and relevant perspective to the brief.”
The campaign of 3×15 second ads, which was also produced by Bahbah (pictured above with Blair McLeish, coordinator of the advertising design program), was crewed by a posse of other Curtin students.
Says Garry Horner, The Brand Agency’s ECD: “This campaign is testament to Curtin’s philosophy of combining strong theoretical study with a high degree of practical learning. It was a great opportunity for them to work on a live brief and as you’d imagine, they seized it with both hands.”
“It was a fantastic opportunity for students to apply what they’re learning at uni to the real world of professional advertising. Brand and Curtin were great to work with on the project. It’s been an extremely rewarding educational experience for all the students involved,” said McLeish.

Brand using local production partners. Amazing!
Congrats Sarah-the first of many ads you’ll have your name on.
Fantastic work Sarah well deserved 🙂
It’s been a while since I was at uni, but I reckon the honest approach – identifying with ordinary kids who occasionally slack off – will pay.
Pity that ECU doesn’t have such initiatives.
Yay Sarah well done! 🙂
