Austereo.jpgAustereo Perth has won another award for their Allpest “Does not negotiate” radio spot. Hot on the heels of yesterday’s Silver Siren win (see earlier story) comes the news that the commercial has picked up a Bronze at the 2011 New York Festivals Advertising Awards, announced just an hour ago in New York. It was written by Austereo team Alida Henson, Garry Dean, Ingrid Paxton and Matt Dickson (left).

Australia punched well about its weight at the awards scoring six Golds of a total of only 34, second only to the USA, plus 18 Silvers and 17 Bronze.

Leo Burnett Sydney was named the NYF agency of the year, walking away with four of the six Golds – two for Canon ‘Photochains’ and two for WWF ‘Monkey’, with one apiece to Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne (for Guide Dogs Australia ‘Support Scent’) and George Patterson Y&R Brisbane (for South Pacific Breweries ‘Beer Coasters’). Leo Burnett Sydney also scored five Silvers and two Bronze, while Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne won six Silvers and two Bronze.

The World’s Best Ad (Best of Show) was awarded to the Nike ‘Write the Future’ campaign via Wieden + Kennedy, Amsterdam.
