“Taking on this role is very exciting for me, I am someone who is always looking for new challenges and I think this is a great opportunity,” said Corner (left).

With a career spanning 19 years, Corner comes to the role as one of the most senior and well credentialed women in the Western Australian advertising industry, having worked in senior marketing roles as an advertising agency client and with major media organisations before joining The Brand Agency.

Corner’s career highlights include spearheading Curtin University’s highly successful and awarded “The Box” campaign, launching MX – Australia’s only commuter newspaper, which was a world first for News Limited and the national launch of Bankwest Direct. Corner also helped Maxus make the transformation into Ikon Perth last year.

“Media has always been a passion of mine. What I want to do is bring together creative and media agencies in a way that translates into real value and delivers real results for our clients. As someone who’s been seconded out of agencies to work for GESB and HBOSA I understand what clients are looking for, I understand their needs and I’ll be making sure their needs are met.”

Prior to her role at Ikon Perth, Corner was Group Account Director at The Brand Agency and was the youngest person to join their national board. In order to take on this new position she has resigned from the agency’s board.

“I’m proud to have been at The Brand Agency over the past 10 years, so it’s with some sadness that I sever my ties. But I am really excited about the opportunity to lead the Ikon Perth team and take the business to the next level,” said Corner.

Dan Johns, Ikon’s Managing Partner in Sydney, said Corner was a good fit with Ikon’s brand and culture: “Ikon in Perth is at an exciting stage of its development and I know that Erin and her team will drive the business forward.”
