New format for Adschool’s Copywriting with Steve Browning – Starts next Wednesday, March 9
Learn techniques for creating and developing ideas, writing for print, TV, radio and digital; analysing and responding to the creative brief; creating and structuring the emotionalappeals used by copywriters.
Adschool this year has redesigned Copywriting to provide more practical experience as a copy writer. With the combination of evening sessions, 1 day agency style weekend workshop and exposure to AWARD briefs. This course could be considered a stepping stone to AWARD school for aspiring creatives or Account/Brand Managers that want todevelop a greater understanding of the creative process.
Head lecturer, Steve Browning regularly gives talks around Australia on copywriting and creativity in advertising. He has been a regular judge for the Australian Writers and Art Directors Awards, the Golden Stylus Radio Awards, the Adelaide Art Directors Club Awards, the Melbourne Art Directors Club Awards, the London International AdvertisingAwards, the New York Festivals and lots of others he can’t remember.
After training to be a doctor, Steve got job at Benton & Bowles London in 1981 and has worked in advertising ever since. He came to Australia in 1989, worked in several agencies and then in 1994 set up his own agency, Vinten Browning.
In 2004, Steve left agency land to work on a couple of books, a radio play and a sitcom. They’re coming along nicely, but slowly. He’s a full-time freelance writer and works with Perth’s top three agencies, plus others in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo, London and Dubai.

Hey CB. Since when have we had umlauts and graves in the ReCapcha box? Jesus, at this rate we’ll need an Adschool course on anonymous posting. Well done Adschool on snaring the prodigious talents on Mr Browning, btw.
I’ll be covering umlauts, graves, acutes and the advanced use of the circumflex in Week 3.
Steve Browning. Diacritic by name…
