Trilogy Tackers take out inaugural Splitties Cup
Wednesday, December 8 was the inaugural Splitties Cup, hosted by Split Screen’s Lee Guy-Wallis and Scott Wright from Split Screen Productions.Set on the South Perth foreshore, creatives teams raced against post production houses in a Surf Cat race.
The 25 knot south westerly winds winds made conditions a bit rough, but perfect for a Christmas sail. The outcome was everyone had a fantastic and wet time and all are looking forward to next year’s event wanting to get their hands on the perpetual Splitties Cup. Split Screen also recorded the event with thanks to Darrell Brown from Wildvision and also rigged cameras on to each boat to record the action close up and persona. The video will be on the Split Screen Youtube page shortly, with thanks to the team at First Light.
Winners this year were the Trilogy Tackers – Nita Davey and Brett McPherson – with Brainestorm coming in a close second. Tony Bannan and Jaemie Manners came in last and were awarded lessons to get in to training for next year.
